Has anyone read Crime and Punishment by Dostoyvesky? What do you think?

I really enjoy books with multitude of well developed characters. And the writing is awsome. Any other books that you'd recommend? I also enjoy books like this with a romantic twist if you have any suggestions with that combination. Thanks: )
