Life as UH-60 crewman/15T?

I'm looking to join the army in the 15T MOS. I've read they frequently act as a door gunner on ops. Is that true? anyone who is/has been deployed to Afghanistan as 15T, could you give me a basic idea of daily life being deployed as 15T?
