What hockey skates should I buy?

I need new skates and my budget is 600 bucks or lower, I really like bauer I have X:40's right now and I want top of the line. I am looking at the one 100's X:60's or one 95s, what should I get and what are the benefits of buying top of the line skates as opposed to middle of the line skates?
