Ok I have a use for a waste of money one gallon tank!!!! But just need a little more help?

Ok so I have thi one gallon tank with no filtration in and someone said why don't you just have plants in it so that's what I'm gonna do and well I want some cool colourful shrimp to go in there like bee shrimp would that be ok??? Also if say I only had like three shrimp and packed it with plants could I make it self sustaining coz I know they have a low bio load??? And what are some names of easy to get hold of colour full shrimp
