Tibet is a part of China and not a separate country, why is the Congress trying to stir up trouble in China?

The CIA supported Tibetan separatists in the 1950s and you can ume that, they still do. But our natural fondness and sympathy for the Dali Lama does not drive our foreign policy. We are well aware of the fact that China considers Tibet to be as inseparable as we consider Alaska, or perhaps Puerto Rico.
